I’m sorry…
- For those times I said something careless and hurtful.
- For those times I seemed judgemental and superior.
- For those times I was trying to be funny and instead was immature, and rude.
- For those times I jumped on the bandwagon and escalated the situation.
- For those times I didn’t think about how the words I was saying would hurt, divide, and isolate someone else.
- For those times I wasn’t a good friend.
- For those times I was too wrapped up in myself.
- For those times I said something I regretted right away, but was too proud to apologize for it in the moment.
- For those times I damaged a relationship that I was too scared to repair.
- For those times I left important things unsaid.
- For those times I was too scared to admit my shortcomings.
- For those times I was disrespectful and unloving.
There are so many times I’ve messed up, acting out of selfishness rather than loving kindness. But I know my Father has forgiven me and transformed me in a lot of ways. I’m so grateful for that.
I hope those I’ve hurt can forgive me too, and see past my carelessness.
I’ve grown a lot over the years, but God’s not done with me yet!
